Part of the project Photo Parlour, art residence Resident in Residence 2018 ZAMEK Culture Centre the in Poznań, Poland
The project Photo Parlour consisted in making an inventory of equipment and paraphernalia at photo parlours and studios, chiefly backdrops and props. I visited over 25 places in Greater Poland Voivodeship. My objective was to examine the collective imaginary – in the context of studies into visual culture and identity of the transformation period in Poland.
The book Manors & palaces is an upshot of the project. Album resemble a walk through an eclectic residency of our ancestors, those which had never been. The photobook was made in cooperation with publishing collective Ostrøv.
